Virtualised Military Messaging - A Fast Track Approach from Nexor

Nexor, a provider of security capability to meet the information assurance needs of the military and government sectors, launches a new fast track approach to the provision of Military Message Handling Systems (MMHS) with the launch of its revolutionary Virtual MMHS.

Uniquely among MMHS providers, Nexor focuses exclusively on the provision of capability to meet high grade security needs, whilst preserving investment in existing COTS technology. Nexor’s portfolio comprises a range of proven and widely deployed components that collectively create the core of a secure MMHS with appropriate gateways for intra- and inter-domain connectivity. This suite of products has now been brought together in a virtualised environment enabling end users and administrators to gain a rapid understanding of how an MMHS works and how it will look. To accompany the Virtual MMHS, Nexor has also published a new solution paper, MMHS: Nexor’s Technical Position, outlining its all-encompassing approach to Military Message Handling Systems (MMHS). This paper, in conjunction with the recently published educational white papers, MMHS: A Reference Architecture and MMHS: The Requirements, provides the market with a comprehensive set of tools to fast track MMHS projects. Designed for use in both demonstration and testbed environments, Virtual MMHS implements a fixed strategic domain and a tactical HQ using Microsoft Windows and messaging infrastructures with an MMHS messaging infrastructure, clients, mailboxes and gateways. Nexor supplies Virtual MMHS with a series of basic demonstration scenarios for familiarisation, including the ability to create new demonstration scenarios and the facility to modify, extend and enhance the configuration to aid training and requirements planning. Virtual MMHS is also suitable for use in a proof of concept or pilot situation for which Nexor offers a range of professional services to assist in the requirements capture, architecture design and implementation stages. The development of Virtual MMHS by Nexor assists end users and systems integrators alike. By simplifying and expediting the process Nexor has allowed organisations to quickly assess and test the functionality of a NATO compliant MMHS.
